My name is Jessica Kennedy and I am a wife, mom, teacher, and owner/operator of
Ink & Peony
I have been in the classroom since 2006, and I know how daunting it can feel to prepare for a unit with an unfamiliar text. I am hoping to inform and inspire fellow teachers with my annotated books, units, lesson plans and more. I am excited to share my thoughts and insights on these books with you all!

My Story
Some of my favorite aspects of teaching are prepping, planning, and editing! I find designing instruction, mentoring, and tutoring to be a great use of creative energy. This site is both a labor of love and the fulfillment of a long-held desire-- to share my years of trial and error, practice makes perfect, and back to the drawing board with you all!
I'm located in NY, but have offered content and support to educators and students all across the USA!
