My name is Jessica Kennedy and I am a wife, mom, teacher, and owner/operator of
Ink & Peony
I have been in the classroom since 2006, and I know how daunting it can feel to prepare for a unit with an unfamiliar text. I am hoping to inform and inspire fellow teachers with my annotated books, units, lesson plans and more. I am excited to share my thoughts and insights on these books with you all!
My Story
One of my favorite aspects of teaching has always been prepping and planning! I find designing instruction to be a great use of creative energy. I have even found myself enjoying it more than the actual act of teaching at times! This site is both a labor of love and the fulfillment of a long-held desire-- to share my years of trial and error, practice makes perfect, and back to the drawing board with you all!
